I am really pleased that existing client Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council has decided to appoint Bondfield Marketing for a two year contract to work on their marketing, social media and PR activity.
The contract was confirmed by full Council and was the result of a competitive two stage process including a detailed written proposal and a formal interview with Councillors.
The Council is still a relatively new organisation, founded just two years ago. We’ve been working with the team since October 2017. In that time we’ve set some really strong foundations, creating a successful social media strategy and a strong press office function. We have tripled the Facebook followers with increasing levels of engagement, and set up the Council Twitter account, prepared the Annual Report and a wrap around edition of the local newspaper.
We’ve also been working closely on marketing the Concerts in the Park events which saw thousands of people enjoy a weekend of world-class music from the CBSO and support artists in Sutton Park on 30 June and 1 July. And we’re supporting the first ever Sutton Coldfield in Bloom entry, including a new garden competition and project managing the judges’ portfolio of evidence.
Over the next two years we aim to raise the profile of the good work of the Town Council with residents and other key stakeholders. We also want to work with Councillors to improve levels of resident understanding and engagement, which vary dramatically across the different wards of the town. The account team includes social media and media relations specialists with those specific aims in mind.
We are tremendously proud of the work we have done for the Town Council in the last nine months and look forward to the next two years.
